BARRETTE SHRIMPS

Hi loves! Just doing a quick post to share the accessory that I currently cannot get eeeeenough of: my Antona pearl barrette from Shrimps! I've always been a lover of a good hair accessory and when I saw that Shrimps had created a collection in collaboration with Matches Fashion I rushed to purchase! It is the perfect piece to add a little glamour to sooo many looks and makes even the simplest outfits that bit more special!

Hi loves! I know it has been an eeeeeternity since I last uploaded a full outfit post;  I have started a new job (more on that another time ;)) and have been super busy but now that I'm a bit more settled I'll be getting back to posting more regularly!

I have been obsessed with Saks Potts' Yvonne coats ever since they released their first iterations and have wanted one for the loooongest time but missed buying the pink version and was devastated! They have yet to re-release it in this colourway, however the other day I saw that Audrey Vintage Copenhagen was selling one in pink and one in orange and I moved with the quickness of lightning to snap it up! It arrived so quickly and in absolute perfect condition and I am so so sooo happy! Also as of today the orange one is still available so if you're interested send them a DM here!

Hi loves! Just sharing the accessory that I am currently obseeessseeed with! I popped into & Other Stories the other day and was instantly drawn to this pastel pink beret - now I have always steered clear of hats as I feel like they either don't suit me or they just don't fit, but something (fate perhaps? ;))  told me to try this one on and I fell in love! There is something impossibly chic about a beret and I can't wait to wear this one more especially as the weather gets colder!

Hi loves! My skin has been feeling wonderful recently and it's all due to these two products from Lancôme: the new Hyra Zen Jelly Mask and Eau Micellaire Confort!

 I actually received them as a free gift with another purchase and have been using for about a month and my face has never felt so revitalized and hydrated! I use a small/medium sized dollop of the Jelly Mask every night before going to sleep and when I wake up my skin feels sooo soft and looks awake and fresh! I do use the Micellaire Confort less regularly (usually when I've only removed my makeup with a makeup wipe and can't be bothered to get out of bed to wash my face so I'll remove what's left  with the Micellaire on a cotton pad). They also smell dreamy - think rose scents!

SKIRT AND SWEATER TOPSHOP

Hi loves! Just posting quickly to share the skirt that I can't get enough of recently! I picked up this beauty from Topshop when I was in London the other day and am obsessed! It gives me real Ganni vibes (at a fraction of the cost ;)) and is sooo silky to the touch! I know it'll will be a great once the weather gets colder with a chunky knit and big coat!

Hi loves! Today I was going through my closet and it got me ruminating on my relationship my with clothing and thought that I would try to quickly share some of my thoughts!

WARDROBE AUDIT 

Clearing out my apartment in New York and moving back to England was bitter in many ways but sweet in the sense that I was able to rid myself of a number of items (clothing and otherwise) that I had essentially been hoarding for goodness knows how long. In order to do so, I conducted what I call a 'wardrobe audit', something that I think I've been subconsciously doing for a while but this one was with more insight. I like to think of a wardobe audit as taking the time out to really examine what's in your wardrobe, evaluating (a) what you actually wear on regular basis and (b) how you feel in that clothing. 

REALIZATIONS

When evaluating what was not going to make the collection that I would bring back to England with me, I realized (with slight horror) that there were so many pieces that I had been keeping in there that either didn't fit anymore or that did fit and I felt uncomfortable in. Realizing that got me thinking -- why would I own anything that I didn't feel comfortable in? Why would I own something that didn't make me feel amazing and like my best self? Above I included a photo of one of my favourite outfits du jour - a Barbie pink Topshop sweater and my ultimate fave Sandy Liang skirt. I have to admit that I have been repeating this outfit a looooot recently because it makes me feel good! *insert Lizzie McGuire you are an outfit repeater!.gif* Which again got me thinking that this is how I should feel in every piece that I own.

So, in conclusion, the ethos that I am going to strive to live by when it comes to my wardrobe is to only keep and buy what I feel incredible in, and try to ethically discard what I don't!

Here is a quick snap of my outfit featuring my fave fave faaaaveeee skirt from Sandy Liang! I love a good jumper and frilly/fancy skirt combo as it's a super cute mix between dressy and casual!

Sooooo I am still absolutely obsessed with hair clips (check out my previous post on them here! ;)) and I decided to treat myself to an especially beaut one that I've had my eye on for quite some time: this Rose clip from Seoul Import! I've been a fan of the brand for a while and decided to purchase this delicious pastel pink one, although I'm not going to lie, I may or may not have my eye on a couple more!

Hi loves! My boyfriend Mats and I had our belated Valentine's celebration on Saturday (we had brunch at The Smith then went to the Whitney) and I thought I'd share my outfit with you!

 One of my favourite trims du jour is frills (I really can't get enough of them) and so when I saw this skirt in the Asos sale I knew I had to get it! I decided to make it a little more casual by layering this chunky knit (also Asos) on top! I also debuted my newest obsession: this gorgeous bag from Coccinelle! They also have it in a tan-brown which I may have to snap up too! ;)
